Job summary

Gildan is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee material handlers, operators, and team leads within our distribution operations. The role focuses on maximizing order flow, maintaining inventory accuracy, and enforcing safety standards.

Strong communication and leadership are essential. Based in Jacksonville, you will coordinate staffing, monitor workflow, and produce operational reports to support the management team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data reporting
• Experience with warehouse management systems preferred
• Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Supervise material handlers, equipment operators, team leaders, and others to maximize order flow and inventory accuracy
• Monitor workflow and space constraints; implement processes for efficient product flow
• Maintain operational and inventory reports as requested by management
• Direct associates and workload to ensure optimum efficiency within scope
• Monitor performance and initiate corrective actions as needed
• Maintain staff schedules, attendance, timekeeping, and payroll-related approvals
• Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are followed
• Perform other duties as assigned

The opportunity

Responsible for supervising material handlers, equipment operators, team leaders, and others in a manner that will maximize order flow, inventory accuracy, and processing standards. This opportunity is based in our Sales Marketing and Distribution Team.

The role

• Supports daily distribution demands in receiving, order processing, and/or shipping by assisting with resource allocation, workflow organization and order prioritization
• Monitors workflow, space and supply constraints. Offers suggestions and implementation processes that will ensure efficient flow pf product through area(s) of responsibility
• Maintains accurate operational and inventory reports as required/requested by the management team
• Direct associates and their work activities to ensure optimum efficiency within the defined scope of operation
• Monitors associate performance daily and communicates information regarding goals, responsibilities, policies, procedures and areas for improvement. Responsible for initiating corrective action as needed
• Maintains teams work schedule, associate time-off requests, attendance and timekeeping records, and approves time for payroll processing for all associates within their scope of responsibility
• Ensures safety and housekeeping duties are followed in assigned areas
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

The requirements

• High School Diploma + Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System preferred (i.e. WM Manhattan, PkMS, Oracle WM, SAP WM, RP)
• Ability to work in a team-based environment
• Experience within a manufacturing company supplying product to Retail Customers preferred
• Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and written
• Must maintain confidentiality in regards to sensitive information
• Vision is required in order to read instructions, interpret data and formulate metrics
• Hearing is required in order to hear instructions, receive information, and understand safety warnings
