The Second Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting second-shift distribution operations to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and customer orders. This role provides leadership to a team of warehouse associates while overseeing outbound shipping, inbound receiving, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and overall shift performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead second-shift distribution operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory, and material flow activities.
- Supervise and develop team members by setting priorities, assigning work, and driving productivity.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and accurate system transactions.
- Promote a safe, organized work environment and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor KPIs, communicate shift performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and service.
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Proven ability to drive performance, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee engagement skills with a focus on accountability and results.
- Ability to make sound decisions, solve problems, and balance strategic objectives with daily operations.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5 years working a high-volume distribution environment.
- Previous experience leading teams, directing work, and managing employee performance.
- Experience monitoring operational KPIs and implementing corrective actions to achieve performance goals.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory systems, or related operational technology preferred.
