Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior leader to manage a team of up to five Project Managers and drive electrical program execution across Major Projects. You will set expectations, delegate effectively, and remove obstacles while ensuring alignment with industry and company standards.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate KPIs, maintain client satisfaction, and guide capital governance. Travel across North America is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or related construction or operational training and/or experience.
  • 7+ years of directly related electrical and project management experience.
  • Candidates without a university degree require an additional 3 years of related experience, for 10+ years total.
  • Strong understanding of industry and company standards.
  • Proven leadership experience, including leading teams, delegating work, balancing priorities, and delivering results.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities.
  • Experience managing complex project portfolios.
  • Experience driving process improvements.
  • Ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States.

  • Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting objects up to 20 pounds, typing, sitting, standing, and visual and hearing requirements
  • Ability to understand and apply oral and written instructions, solve complex problems, organize and prioritize work, make decisions, complete forms and reports, and communicate by telephone
  • Valid driver's license and responsible driving record required
  • Ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States
  • Valid passport required
  • Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
