Mercy is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to contribute to operations and patient care across designated areas. You will act as a clinical resource for staff and patients and may serve as a staff nurse when needed.

In this role, you will assume managerial duties delegated by a manager and must maintain an active RN license in the hiring state or a compact licensure. BLS is required within 30 days, with additional certifications encouraged.

Competenze

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.
• RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS required within 30 days; ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, STABLE certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Position Details:

Education

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.

Licensure

• Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• - ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• - ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• - CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
• - OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
• - BLS (Basic Life Support)
• - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• - PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
• - S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support)

Six Assessment & Care Modules

• - C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• - Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Experience

• 2 years' experience in patient care is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Transforming the Health of Our Communities

Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 195 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who was determined to help women and children in Dublin experiencing poverty. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill that dream. In 1827, she opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin, intending to teach skills to women and educate children. Many volunteers came to help. A few years later, Catherine founded the Sisters of Mercy, one of the first religious orders whose Sisters were free to walk among the poor and visit them in their homes. In 1843, the Sisters of Mercy came to the United States. In 1856, they traveled to St. Louis. In the years to come, they would establish hospitals throughout the Midwest. Many of these would join together in 1986 as Mercy.
