Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, in partnership with Sesame Place, seeks a Supervisor in Aquatics to lead the team and safeguard guest safety across all water activities. You will manage hiring, training, and day‑to‑day operations to uphold park standards and exceptional guest experiences.

The role emphasizes safety, staffing, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with labor laws while maintaining a high level of guest service in a dynamic water park environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age and high school diploma preferred.
• Leadership experience or equivalent external experience required.
• Must have lifeguarding and water park safety certifications or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Aquatics team and hire leadership staff.
• Train, counsel and ensure safety procedures and park policies are followed.
• Ensure paperwork and labor compliance, scheduling, and audits are completed.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures and labor budget control.

What You Get To Do

As a Supervisor in Aquatics, you’ll play a lead role in ensuring positive, safe, memorable guest experiences. You’ll strive to exceed guest expectations while also overseeing the Aquatics team. You will:

• Provide exemplary service and ensure Operations Standards are met by resolving guest concerns, investigating and providing recommendations to correct reoccurring guest issues, ensuring all team members are providing the highest level of guest courtesy, recognizing and rewarding team members who provide exceptional service
• Interview and hire leadership team members
• Supervise, train and counsel team members, team leads and assistant supervisors while enforcing and complying with safety procedures, guidelines and park policies and procedures
• Ensure pertinent paperwork is completed prior to, during and after training
• Responsible for team member files, schedules, employee audits, and other tasks as assigned
• Ensure compliance of Child Labor Laws with regards to breaks, lunches and hours worked per day
• Oversee water and first aid send-outs
• Monitor and control labor budgets as directed by the Aquatics Manager
• Manage the area opening and closing procedures and ensure all team members complete tasks within a timely manner

What Else Is Important

• At least 18 years of age, preferre
• High School Diploma preferred
• Must have at least one (1) year of leadership experience or equivalent external experience
• Must have an American Red Cross Lifeguarding or Shallow Water Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED for Lifeguards and Water Park Skills certification or must be able to pass all requirements to obtain certification in these courses.
• Maintain an acceptable level of proficiency of park knowledge, water rescue, CPR/AED, and First Aid Skills
• Must be able to act responsibly with a high attention to safety
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift
• Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
• Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
• Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat
• Must provide flexible, consistent availability (including nights, weekends and holidays) and adhere to our Holiday and Availability agreement
• Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situations
• Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements within established timelines
