Securitas USA is hiring a Supervisor for the Sauget, IL area on the 2nd shift. This full-time role pays $21.83 per hour and involves supervising Security Officers, ensuring post orders are followed, and coordinating coverage for shifts.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of security and 1 year of management experience, strong leadership, and excellent customer service. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and more.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Notify authorities, clients and management in emergencies.

• Train Security Officers on post orders and responsibilities.
• Ensure adequate coverage of all posts during shift.
• Prepare and submit reports as needed.
• Inspect posts and verify task completion.
• Follow policies and comply with laws; may supervise and coach.

What You Can Expect

• Ensure all post orders are followed, established rounds are completed, and needed reports are filed.


• Notify proper authorities, clients, and Securitas management in emergency situations.


• Coach and discipline personnel as appropriate; seek advice from Securitas management or designated representatives as appropriate; meet personally with employees and document coaching and disciplinary actions.


• Train Security Officers with functions of their positions, review site post orders, and other details of their position.


• In conjunction with company management or designated representatives ensure adequate coverage of all posts and positions while on duty.


• Prepare, file, and submit various reports as needed.


• Inspect posts and meet with on duty Security Officers to ensure tasks and responsibilities are being completed.


• Follow applicable company policies and procedures and in compliance with local, state, and federal laws, perform supervisory duties that can include training employees, assigning tasks during shift, directing work, coaching, addressing issues, and resolving problems.


• May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accord with post orders and company policy.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.


• High School Diploma or GED required.


• Above average computer / technology skills needed.


• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.


• Must be able to work independently.


• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.


• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.


• Must have a professional demeanor.


• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.


• Valid Drivers License required.


• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Security.


• Minimum of 1 year of management experience.


• Must be dependable and initiative-taking.


• Must have ability to motivate and inspire.


• Must have ability to train officers and ensure all policies are adhered to.


• Must have ability to meet deadlines.


• Must have above average communication skills.


• PERC Card needed.


• Must be flexible with schedule when necessary.
