Job Summary

The Associate Supervisor at Flagship Facility Services will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the staff, timely gathering of time cards, ordering of supplies, meeting the needs of our clients, and providing janitorial work as needed to each client. Pay $20 per hour.

1st shift: 4am–12:30pm2nd shift: 2pm–12:30am

Essential Functions

• Flexibility with working hours to support operations as required.
• Able to communicate with line staff on work requests and inspections as required.
• Able to perform and comprehend the scope of work people skills.
• Attend monthly Safety Meetings and deliver Safety Training to employees.
• Collect time cards and track inventory of supplies.
• Conduct site safety / quality inspections (equipment, MSDS, PPE, etc…).
• Communicate with Operations Manager regarding employee relations issues.
• Other projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Attend monthly safety meetings and provide safety training when appropriate to staff.
• Monitor staff to ensure PPE is worn at all times and other protective measures are being taken.
• Provide janitorial services (floor care and other cleaning services as needed) to our clients.
• Inspect staff employees’ work to ensure we meet overall client satisfaction.
• Manage supplies at each site and ensure supplies are ordered in a timely manner.
• Report any employee issues to the Operations Manager.

Education and Work Experience

• Preferably a bachelor's degree or equivalent; or 4–10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the janitorial/facilities field.
• Able to communicate in English and Spanish.

Work Environment

Fast‑paced office environment with a high sense of urgency. Small office environment. The noise level is usually moderate. Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments. Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds of office and facilities equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and ability to safely install rigging/lifting devices. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
