Job summary

Spectrum E-Coat in Michigan is seeking a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift to lead a team of direct and indirect associates in meeting daily production goals.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity, with experience in ERP systems and leadership training. This hourly position includes overtime and opportunities to grow within a family-owned manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associates or 4-year degree and 3–5 years leading a manufacturing team.
• Experience with factory safety protocols and equipment maintenance required.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and AS400 is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct and indirect associates to complete production for a shift.
• Review workforce availability and assign tasks based on skills.
• Ensure ISO/TS 14969 procedures are followed; support CARs and continuous improvement.
• Enforce plant policies for shift personnel and supervise day-to-day shop floor operations.
• Maintain clear information flow and monitor safety, quality, scrap, and productivity.
• Collaborate with HR on staffing levels and conduct time and attendance reviews.

Located in Belding Michigan. We are currently seeking to hire a Production Supervisor to lead our 2nd Shift. This is an hourly position with overtime, 45-55 hours weekly.

The job description includes, but is not limited to:

• Supervise direct and indirect associates to complete scheduled production for a designated shift.
• Review workforce availability and make assignments based on skills and abilities of shop floor associates.
• Assure ISO/TS 14969 procedures are followed; assist in CAR's and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Enforce established plant policies and procedures for associates on their designated shift.
• Supervise day to day operations on the shop floor
• Ensure the proper information is maintained and communicated
• Responsible for key performance indicators of safety, quality, scrap, and productivity for their shift
• Work with human resources on staffing levels and needs
• Monitor time and attendance
• Conduct employee reviews

Desired Skills / Experience

• Knowledge of ERP Systems, AS400 beneficial
• Excellent Team Work and Enthusiasm to lead as a Servant Leader
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3-5 years experience including formal leadership training.
• Prior experience with factory safety protocols and equipment maintenance is required.
