Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Supervised Visitation Advocate to support youth and families across El Paso/Douglas County. The role focuses on direct advocacy services, following a strength-based wraparound approach, and requires dependable transportation and flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, experience with at-risk youth, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; EHR system knowledge a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Reliable insured transportation, valid driver''s license and current auto insurance required.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Job description

Summary of the Position: Hourly, Part-Time Supervised Visitation Advocate serving youth and families throughout El Paso/Douglas County are available.

  • Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school and home settings.
  • The Primary responsibilitiesof the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned clients and their families.
  • All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
  • Flexible hours (non-traditional- evenings and weekends may be required), competitive weekly pay, mileage and activity reimbursement.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • Experience in community resources and community work
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and families
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge or use of an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Requires reliable insured transportation, valid driver's license and current auto insurance coverage
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
