Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a Bi-Lingual Youth Advocate to support youth and families in the Portland area. The role emphasizes advocacy, resource connection, and positive youth development.

The position is part-time with hourly compensation and local travel requirements. The ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish, dependable, and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, with driving authority and access to transportation.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with at-risk youth and families.
• Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be Bilingual (Spanish Speaking).
• Flexible Schedule (Evenings and Weekends may be required).

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• Provide wraparound-based service plans.
• Serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school and home settings.

Hourly Rate: $20.00

Summary of the Position: Hourly, Part-Time position serving youth and families throughout Portland/ Multnomah County are available.

• Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school and home settings.
• The Primary responsibilitiesof the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
• This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage and activity reimbursement
