Job summary

CoolSys is hiring a Refrigeration Start-up Technician to support supermarket systems in the metro Atlanta area. The role involves start-up of refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, EMS wiring, and project work across multiple stores and systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial refrigeration, 3+ years in supermarket EMS, EPA I/II certification, and a valid driver’s license. Travel, overtime, and ongoing training are expected benefits of this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of supermarket EMS systems experience.
• 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience, especially parallel rack systems; CO2 a plus.
• EPA I and II Certification required.
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
• Ability to read blueprints for refrigeration, electrical and plumbing.
• Willingness to travel, overnight, and perform overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Start-up of supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment.
• Lead EMS wiring and programming for multiple EMS manufacturers.
• Full start-up of parallel refrigeration systems and individual systems.
• Lead small projects such as single case and condenser changes.
• Assist with EO projects including retro-commissioning and EMS upgrades.
• Coordinate with branch Service/Construction Managers to support stores and training.
