Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a court reporter, or equivalent education/training demonstrating ability to perform duties.
• Extensive knowledge of civil, criminal, juvenile and related court proceedings and procedures.
• Strong understanding of transcript production and delivery in paper and electronic formats.

Responsibilities

• Record verbatim court proceedings using stenotype equipment and prepare transcripts within deadlines.
• Distribute accurate transcripts in required formats.
• Read back from court records during proceedings and prepare rough drafts as needed.
• Maintain stenographic records in an accessible and compliant manner.
• Manage reference materials, software, and supplies for court reporting.
