Job summary

Coconino County seeks an experienced court reporter to produce verbatim court records using stenotype equipment and to prepare accurate transcripts within required timeframes. The role includes reading back during proceedings and maintaining organized records.

Responsibilities also include ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and security of transcripts, with overtime as needed to support court operations. Arizona Certification is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a court reporter or equivalent qualification demonstrating ability to perform duties.
• Arizona Court Reporting Certification is required.
• Overtime may be required as non-exempt from overtime.

Responsibilities

• Use computerized stenotype equipment to produce verbatim court records.
• Prepare and distribute accurate transcripts within required timeframes.
• Read back from court records or prepare rough drafts for court use.
• Maintain organized stenographic notes and transcripts for required retention periods.
• Ensure accuracy and security of transcripts and related materials.
