Job summary

Jobot in Western Springs, IL, is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee all on-site construction activities from preconstruction through closeout. The role requires managing day-to-day field operations, coordinating with project teams, and enforcing strict safety protocols on site.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Experience with ground-up and/or renovation projects (education, municipal, or commercial preferred).
• Strong knowledge of construction means & methods, scheduling, and sequencing.
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and complex project logistics.
• Familiarity with construction management or design-build delivery methods preferred.

• Manage day-to-day field operations including subcontractors, scheduling, safety, and quality control
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved
• Coordinate closely with project managers, design teams, and clients to ensure seamless execution

• Lead subcontractor meetings and ensure alignment with project goals and expectations
• Monitor project progress and proactively address challenges to avoid delays or cost overruns

Key Responsibilities

• Familiarity with construction management or design-build delivery methods preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with construction technology (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred
