Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Superintendent to lead large-scale commercial projects in our Michigan operations. This role offers growth opportunities across multiple market sectors, a generous compensation package, bonus, PTO and company benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a superintendent role focusing on commercial, multifamily, education, or similar.
• Proven experience in managing projects exceeding $20M in size.
• Broad understanding of the construction industry, including knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction.
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve project-related issues efficiently.
• Proficiency in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the construction industry.
• Certifications such as CCM or PMP are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all stages of project life cycle including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
• Leading project teams and coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Maintaining adherence to budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
• Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards.
• Directing and supervising workers, subcontractors, and activities.
• Preparing and submitting budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
• Implementing effective communication plans and ensuring execution throughout the project lifecycle.
• Resolving work problems, disputes, or conflicts to ensure smooth operation.
• Ensuring project compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations.
