Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Superintendent for a thriving design-build construction firm in Illinois. Salary range is $105,000–$145,000 per year.

You will oversee on-site construction, manage subcontractors, and drive schedules from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety and quality across K-12, municipal, and commercial projects. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in commercial construction, strong leadership, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Experience with ground-up and/or renovation projects (education, municipal, or commercial preferred).
• Strong knowledge of construction means & methods, scheduling, and sequencing.
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and complex project logistics.
• Familiarity with construction management or design-build delivery methods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site construction activities from preconstruction through project closeout.
• Manage day-to-day field operations including subcontractors, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, design teams, and clients to ensure seamless execution.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe, compliant jobsite at all times.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and ensure alignment with project goals and expectations.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address challenges to avoid delays or cost overruns.
• Ensure workmanship meets company standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities
