Job summary

Polk Mechanical Company LLC is seeking a skilled Piping Superintendent to lead all piping activities on commercial construction sites, supervise crews, ensure plans and specifications are followed, and maintain high-quality workmanship while keeping projects on schedule and within budget.

You will interpret piping blueprints, collaborate with project managers and vendors, develop schedules, inspect work for safety and quality, and ensure adherence to codes and budgets on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in plumbing/piping.
• Minimum 4 years supervisory experience in commercial mechanical construction.
• In-depth knowledge of piping systems including domestic water, sanitary, and medical gas installations.
• Strong ability to read and interpret piping blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• OSHA-30 certification required (or willingness to obtain).

• Supervise and coordinate all piping installation activities on commercial construction projects
• Interpret piping blueprints, specifications, and project documents to ensure proper installation and system performance
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, project requirements, and safety standards
• Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and other trades to streamline workflow and avoid conflicts
• Develop and maintain detailed work schedules, track progress, and adjust manpower as needed
• Conduct regular inspections of ongoing work to uphold quality assurance and safety compliance
• Monitor labor productivity and material usage to control costs and meet project deadlines
• Lead daily safety meetings and ensure strict adherence to job site safety protocols

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of verifiable experience in the plumbing/piping trade
• Minimum 4 years of proven supervisory experience in commercial mechanical construction
• In-depth knowledge of piping systems, including domestic water, sanitary systems, and medical gas installations
• Strong ability to read and interpret piping blueprints, specifications, and related trade documents
• Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to supervise multiple foremen
• Valid driver's license required
• OSHA-30 certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
