Job summary

Centuri Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to lead asphalt and concrete paving operations, manage field crews, and mentor Supervisors and Foremen to deliver safe, high-quality projects.

You will review project schedules, keep milestones on track, and ensure compliance with plans, specifications and safety controls. Travel to support regional projects may be required; strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years in construction with Foreman experience
• Knowledge of pipeline/concrete/electrical applications
• OSHA 10/30 and Competent Person Certified
• Strong math and written communication
• Willingness to travel regionally

Responsibilities

• Oversee asphalt and concrete paving operations, ensuring safety, timeliness, budget adherence, and quality.
• Manage crews, productivity, equipment utilization, and daily planning to maximize efficiency.
• Review schedules, identify delays, and implement solutions to keep milestones on track.
• Ensure compliance with plans, specifications and safety controls.
• Support training and development of employees.
• Maintain communication with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

As a Superintendent, you will lead and empower construction crews to take ownership of their assigned projects. You will be responsible for managing field leadership, including Supervisors and Foremen, while acting as a mentor who guides the team toward safe, high-quality project completion.

What You'll Do

• Oversee asphalt and concrete paving operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Manage crews' productivity, equipment utilization, and daily operational planning to maximize efficiency and project performance.
• Review project schedules, identify potential delays, and implement solutions to keep projects on track and achieve key milestones.
• Ensure projects comply with plans, specifications, quality standards.
• Champion adherence to safety and process controls regarding operating equipment, worksite safety and documentation requirements
• Support the training and development of employees.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders - clients, municipalities, field inspectors, homeowners and operation support teams.
• Other duties as requested by management.

What You'll Have

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years' experience in relevant construction (as a fitter, operator, lineman, finisher, and/or welder) with no less than three years as a Foreman
• Extensive knowledge in specialized disciplines such as pipeline construction, concrete, and/or electrical applications, including overhead/underground transmission, distribution, and substation
• OSHA 10, 30, and Competent Person Certified
• Mathematical skill to calculate and interpret data
• Writing skill to compose complex reports, proposals, and business/project plans
• Interpersonal skill to negotiate key business strategies, contracts, and agreements
• Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state as dictated by business needs

• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
