Centuri Construction Group, Inc. in Centerville, UT seeks a Superintendent of Traffic Control to lead traffic operations on multiple state projects. You will direct crews, coordinate with clients and contractors, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on every job site.

You will collaborate with estimators, manage budgets, train staff, and drive continuous improvements while traveling as needed. This role requires strong leadership and a passion for safe, efficient construction operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in traffic control or project management.
• Experience with project management software, budgeting, and cost control.
• Extensive knowledge in traffic control design drawings.
• Strong understanding of traffic control processes, safety regulations, QA methodologies.
• Able to travel in-state and out-of-state as needed.

Superintendent of Traffic Control will lead traffic control operations for customer projects throughout a multi-state region. They will be accountable for the success of all traffic operations from sourcing contracts, employee lifecycle, customer and vendor relationship building, and safety.

What You'll Do

• Build relationships with potential clients to secure projects
• Coordinate with customers as well as contractors to discuss project costs and timeline
• Team with internal estimators to create and submit project estimates
• Identify and develop leaders who can take on additional responsibility to grow operations
• Collaborate with safety to ensure training for new and existing teams is completed to company standards
• Lead assigned crews to achieve productivity, quality, and safety goals
• Oversee processes to achieve all compliance requirements
• Manage project progress, budget, and safety reporting
• Analyze procedures for continuous process improvement
• Interview, hire, and train new crew members
• Develop and oversee an expense budget for the division
• Perform other duties as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a leader for a relevant traffic control and/or project management company
• Experience with project management software, budgeting, and cost control
• Extensive knowledge in traffic control design drawings
• A strong understanding of traffic control processes, safety regulations, quality assurance methodologies, and traffic control management software
• Knowledge of construction safety protocols regulations and certifications.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, lead and motivate teams, and effectively communicate with stakeholders
• The ability to read and interpret project alignment sheets, strong organizational and time management skills, and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state as dictated by business needs

Work Environment

• Work sites are outdoors in all weather conditions
• All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
• Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
• Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
