Job summary

Centuri Construction Group, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Services Supervisor to oversee accounting and HR-related work, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. You will manage accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and contract compliance while guiding staff and improving internal controls.

You’ll lead weekly/monthly financial reporting, assist with bids and audits, and support leadership with data-driven insights in a dynamic construction environment. This role is based in our Topeka, KS office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• 5+ years of accounting and administration experience
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong knowledge of accounting procedures for accounts receivables, accounts payable and payroll
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to administrative and operational management and staff
• Coordinate, perform, and promote company policies, procedures, and internal controls as well as area specific procedures
• Provide in-depth accounting support of all accounting functions: accounts receivable, payroll, accounts payable, customer work management or job costing
• Ensure accurate recording and recognition of revenue
• Assist with contract bid preparations and various audit inquiries
• Understand and ensure proper execution and compliance to customer contracts
• Provide weekly and monthly financial reports to leadership
• Lead in new hire training and overall human resource functions for the area
• Verify internal consistency, completeness, and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents
• Lead in resolving unusual problems
• Act as backup to the Accounting Services Manager when needed
• Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

As an Accounting Services Supervisor, you will oversee the organization, training and planning of work related to both human resources and accounting items. You will be responsible to ensure documents/data are accurate and correctly processed, updating systems and producing various accounting and administrative reports.
