Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on modular construction projects, overseeing site activities, subcontractor coordination, safety, and schedule performance.

You will manage foundations, module setting, utility coordination, and quality inspections, while maintaining documentation and communicating with owners and project teams. Travel to sites in California as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial/modular construction.
• Experience with ground-up construction projects.
• Exposure to modular or off-site construction preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Travel to project sites as required.

Job Details

The Superintendent will be responsible for managing all field operations on modular construction projects. This role will oversee site activities, subcontractor coordination, safety compliance, quality control, schedule management, and module installation activities to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations and site supervision.
• Develop and maintain project schedules alongside project management teams.
• Coordinate all on-site subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and trade partners.
• Lead site safety efforts and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Oversee site preparation, foundations, utility coordination, module setting, and finish work.
• Conduct quality control inspections and verify work meets project requirements.
• Coordinate inspections and jurisdictional approvals.
• Manage project documentation including daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and progress updates.
• Identify and proactively resolve field issues affecting schedule, budget, or quality.
• Maintain strong communication with owners, project managers, subcontractors, and design teams.

Desired Qualifications

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial, multifamily, residential, hospitality, or modular construction.
• Experience managing ground-up construction projects.
• Previous exposure to modular, prefab, panelized, or off-site construction is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, quality control, and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
