Job summary

Owen Thomas Group is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on a large-scale data center project in Virginia. You will manage subcontractors, drive the schedule, and uphold safety and quality standards on site.

The role emphasizes coordinating with PMs, MEP teams, and trades, while ensuring timely commissioning, turnover, and closeout. On-site work in Virginia or other project locations is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of superintendent or field leadership experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Data center / mission critical experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other technically complex construction encouraged.
• Strong understanding of sequencing, scheduling, subcontractor management, and field coordination.
• MEP-intensive project experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to work onsite in Virginia or other project locations.

• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with project and company standards.
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or productivity.
• Participate in subcontractor meetings, look-ahead planning, and project coordination.
• Support commissioning, punch list, turnover, and project closeout.

This individual will play a key role in managing day-to-day field operations, subcontractors, schedule, safety, quality, and overall project execution. They have projects across the country and would be happy to discuss other locations as well.
