Job summary

Gallo Mechanical LLC is seeking a Superintendent to join our high-performing travel team. The role drives on-site leadership for large commercial construction projects, ensuring safe, on-time, and under-budget completion while coordinating subcontractors and field labor.

You will review submittals, identify change orders, lead safety meetings, and manage project scheduling and cost control, with a strong emphasis on OSHA standards and quality control across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years verifiable experience as an HVAC or Plumbing Superintendent.
• At least 5 years of experience in large commercial construction (hotels, office buildings, hospitals, casinos, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Review submittals for accuracy and compliancy.
• Identify potential change orders.
• Manage Customer relations.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings.
• Attend cost, job and project schedule review meetings.
• Manage manpower needs.
• Interpret plumbing and HVAC drawings for craft installation.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate on-site functions.
• Perform material take-offs, ordering tools, materials, and equipment in a timely fashion to maximize field productivity.
• Coordination of installation between trades and coordinate sub-contractor progress.
• Ensure all on-site employees comply with OSHA standards, MCAA work rules and Quality control guidelines.
• Schedule equipment deliveries with GC and periodic inspections by governing authorities.
• Administer construction contract.
• Monitor labor reporting, job cost reviews and prepare time sheets, two-week look-a-heads, daily logs, and safety audits.
• Monitor project specific building information modeling, review shop drawings for accuracy and efficiency, set delivery schedules for the roll-out of shop drawings, and document any revisions to the same for as-built documents.
