Job summary

Gallo Mechanical, LLC, a long-established New Orleans-based mechanical contractor, is seeking an experienced Superintendent –Commercial Mechanical Construction to lead on-site execution of complex projects. You will manage field labor, subcontractors, safety, schedule, and costs to deliver safe, on-time, under-budget results on hotels, offices, hospitals, and casinos.

Candidates should have 4+ years HVAC/Plumbing superintendent experience, 5+ years in large commercial construction, and OSHA 10;

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years verifiable experience as an HVAC and Plumbing Superintendent.
• At least 5 years in large commercial construction (hotels, offices, hospitals, casinos, etc.).
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
• Team player with strong collaboration.
• Organizational and planning skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
• OSHA 10-hour certification (minimum).
• Other state licenses a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review submittals for accuracy and compliancy
• Identify potential change orders
• Manage Customer relations
• Conduct weekly safety meetings
• Attend cost, job and project schedule review meetings
• Manage manpower needs
• Interpret plumbing and HVAC drawings for craft installation
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate on-site functions
• Perform material take-offs, ordering tools, materials, and equipment in a timely fashion to maximize field productivity
• Coordination of installation between trades and coordinate sub-contractor progress
• Ensure all on-site employees comply with OSHA standards, MCAA work rules and Quality control guidelines.
• Schedule equipment deliveries with GC and periodic inspections by governing authorities
• Administer construction contract
• Monitor labor reporting, job cost reviews and prepare time sheets, two-week look-a-heads, daily logs, and safety audits
• Monitor project specific building information modeling, review shop drawings for accuracy and efficiency, set delivery schedules for the roll-out of shop drawings, and document any revisions to the same for as-built documents.
