Role Summary

The Aptitude Superintendent 2 manages and executes complex projects related to intelligent integration. Responsibilities include managing Aptitude Intelligent trade partners, planning construction sequences, and meeting project goals for timely and profitable completion, all in support of JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

• Lead safety culture and demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment.
• Manage client and project team communication regarding low voltage scopes of work.
• Coordinate technology design and construction efforts to meet standards.
• Oversee staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs like Safety, Quality, and EEO.
• Develop work plans and manage the scope of low voltage technology work.
• Create and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Communicate project information to stakeholders.
• Update project documentation and reports.
• Evaluate progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Manage material and equipment needs.
• Support project closeouts and participate in project pursuits.
• Implement project pre-plans and establish local workforce.
• Understand and apply contractual terms and conditions.
• Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of low voltage systems and construction management fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and JE Dunn construction technology.
• Ability to manage budgets, risks, and build client relationships.
• Knowledge of relevant low voltage systems and blueprint reading.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years construction experience.
• Minimum 5 years in related low voltage systems.
• Minimum 3 years field supervision experience.

Working Environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Travel and/or relocation may be required.
• Exposure to extreme conditions; willingness to work non-traditional hours.
