Path Construction is seeking a qualified Superintendent to join our organization in the Chicago, IL area. We are a rapidly growing general contractor headquartered in Arlington Heights, IL, with additional offices in Scottsdale, AZ, and Charlotte, NC, serving clients and projects throughout the United States.

The right candidate will have 5+ years of construction management experience in a variety of asset classes.

Duties for Superintendents include:

• Leading and managing subcontractors
• Overseeing all phases of construction from planning to completion for public and private projects across various industries
• Administering safety programs and ensuring site safety
• Representing customer service and administering quality control programs

We seek Superintendents who are experts in general construction techniques, problem-solving, and possess technical knowledge across various facets of construction such as concrete, masonry, metals, wood & plastics, moisture proofing, openings, finishes, specialties, equipment, furnishings, conveying systems, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communication, security, earthwork, exterior improvements, utilities, demolition, and more.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of construction management experience
• OSHA Site Safety certification
• Proficiency with modern technology and excellent communication skills
• Strong technical knowledge of construction processes and materials
• Understanding of construction principles and practices
• Strong work ethic, team-oriented attitude, and desire to grow with the company
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

• 9+ years of construction management experience
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in commercial, hospital, public projects, schools, multifamily, etc.
• Estimating experience is a plus
• Knowledge of project management software (Microsoft Office, SAGE 300 CRE)
• OSHA 30 Hour Training
• LEED project experience
• Experience with multi-story construction
