Path Construction is seeking a qualified Traveling Superintendent to join our organization in Arlington Heights, IL. We are a rapidly growing commercial general contractor with offices in Arlington Heights, IL; Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Charlotte, NC; Knoxville, TN; and Tampa, FL, serving clients and projects throughout the United States.

The right candidate will have 5+ years of construction management experience in various asset classes including, but not limited to: Higher Education, Retail, Multi-family, Hospitality, Healthcare, Restaurant, Transportation, Water and Waste Treatment, Self-Storage, Senior Living, Convention Centers, Laboratories, Correctional, etc. Path values technical skills, good communication, and strong attention to detail.

Duties for Superintendents include:

• Lead and manage subcontractors.
• Oversee all phases of construction from planning to completion for public and private projects across various industries.
• Administer safety programs and ensure site safety.
• Represent the company in customer service and quality control.
• Demonstrate expertise in general construction techniques and specific facets such as concrete, masonry, metals, wood & plastics, moisture proofing, openings, finishes, specialties, equipment, furnishings, conveying systems, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communication, security, earthwork, exterior improvements, utilities, demolition, and more.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of construction management experience.
• OSHA Site Safety certification.
• Proficiency with modern technology and excellent communication skills.
• Strong technical knowledge in various construction facets.
• Understanding of construction principles and practices.
• Strong work ethic, team-oriented attitude, and a desire to grow the company.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

• 9+ years of construction management experience.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, or relevant experience in commercial, hospital, public projects, schools, multifamily, etc.
• Estimating experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of project management software (Microsoft Office, SAGE 300 CRE).
• OSHA 30 Hour Training.
• LEED project experience.
• Proven experience in multi-story construction.
