Job summary

Jobot in Irvine, CA is seeking a highly motivated Permanent Superintendent to oversee commercial tenant improvements (TI) in the Orange County area. You will manage projects from planning to execution and supervise on-site teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of TI project experience, strong leadership and budgeting skills, and a solid understanding of construction processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry with a focus on commercial tenant improvements.
• Proven working experience in construction management, including record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
• Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
• Familiarity with construction management software packages.
• Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
• Competent in conflict and crisis management.
• Leadership and human resources management skills.
• Excellent time and project management skills.
• BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
• Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.

• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Review the work progress on daily basis.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our dynamic team.
