Job summary

Sunstall Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to oversee field installation from start to finish on all projects, sharing responsibility with the project team to ensure timely, high-quality work and to keep costs under budget.

The role requires coordinating field staff, scheduling, safety programs, and regular reporting to branch and project managers. You will mentor crews and participate in recruiting, with a strong emphasis on OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• 7–9 years of construction experience.
• Experience with estimation and project management software.
• OSHA 10 and/or 30-hour certification required.
• Forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, and fall protection certifications preferred.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field staff and coordinate with general contractors, project managers, branch managers.
• Lead and mentor field employees.
• Attend weekly job scheduling meetings to allocate manpower per project.
• Perform job checks for new jobs to ensure safety and readiness.

POSITIONOVERVIEW

TheSuperintendentisresponsiblefortheoverallsupervisionoffieldinstallationfromstarttofinishforallprojects.Theyshareresponsibilitywiththerestoftheprojectteamfortheon-time,satisfactorycompletionoftheprojectandforkeepingcostsatorunderbudget.

ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES

• Superviseallfieldstaff,coordinatingregularlywithgeneralcontractors,projectmanagers,branchmanagers.
• Abilitytoleadandmentorfieldemployees.
• Attendweeklyjobschedulingmeetingstocoordinateandallocatetheproperamountofmanpowerperproject.
• Performjobchecksforallnewjobstoensuretheprojectissafeandreadyforworkpriortoinitiatingmanpower.
• Visitandreviewactivejobsweeklytoensuremanpower,production,andsafetyissufficienttokeeptheprojectwithinthetimelineandbudget.
• Scheduleandmanagemanpowerforallactivejobs,includingmonitoringandapprovingallweeklypayrollhours.
• Coordinateandscheduleallmaterialdeliveriestothejob.
• Orderallliftsandotherequipmentforactivejobsandtrainteammembersonhowtosafelyusethem.
• Updateprojectmanagersandbranchmanagerswithcompletionprogressregularly.
• Activelyparticipateintherecruitingandhiringporocessforallnewfieldteammembers.
• Performanynecessarytasksforspecialtyprojects
• Implementsandmanagesrequiredjob-sitesafetyprogramandconductsweekly"toolboxtalks".
• Completessiteaccidentreportsimmediately,completelyandaccurately.
• Ensuresthatpunchlistitemsandqualityissuesareaddressedandmanagedeffectivelytoexpeditecollectionofretainages.
• Bilingualabilitypreferred.

MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS

• 7-9years'experienceinconstruction.
• Experienceusingestimationandprojectmanagementsoftwarepreferred.
• Certificateingeneralconstructionpreferred.
• OSHA10and/or30-hourcertificationrequired.
• Forklift,scissorlift,boomlift,fallprotectioncertificationspreferred.
