The Opportunity

A major US contractor is growing its mission critical team in Richmond.

Several large-scale projects are already underway, including developments valued at more than $1 billion, with significant growth planned over the coming years.

The company is looking to add experienced Superintendents as the team expands, creating opportunities for strong field leaders to take on greater responsibility and progress quickly.

The business is interested in experienced builders who know how to lead complex projects, manage people and keep work moving in demanding environments.

The Role

As Superintendent, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of significant construction work in the field.

You will coordinate trade partners, manage sequencing and maintain control of safety, quality and programme performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading day-to-day field operations
  • Managing subcontractors and trade partner performance
  • Developing and driving construction sequencing and short-term work plans
  • Maintaining control of critical project milestones
  • Driving high standards of safety and quality
  • Working closely with Project Management and MEP leadership
  • Identifying problems early and developing practical solutions
  • Managing relationships with trade partners and project stakeholders
  • Supporting project planning and cost awareness
  • Managing punch-list, closeout and turnover activitiesLeading and developing members of the field team
Your Background

Previous mission critical experience is useful but not essential.

The team is open to Superintendents who have built their careers delivering complex projects across:

  • Commercial construction
  • Advanced manufacturing
  • Institutional projects
  • Other technically demanding building environments

You will ideally have:

  • Significant experience leading field operations
  • Strong construction sequencing and scheduling capability
  • Experience managing multiple trades and competing priorities
