Job summary

Mission Critical Construction in Richmond, VA seeks a seasoned Superintendent to lead the day-to-day delivery of large, mission-critical construction work in the field.

You will coordinate trade partners, drive sequencing, and maintain safety, quality and programme performance while aligning with Project Management and MEP leadership. This role offers rapid progression for high-performing field leaders.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading field operations on large or mission-critical projects.
• Strong ability to sequence work and manage short-term plans.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and managing competing priorities.

• Experience leading and developing project teams in a field setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations and ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage subcontractors and trade partner performance.
• Develop and drive construction sequencing and short-term work plans.
• Maintain control of milestones, schedule and programme performance.
• Drive safety and quality standards across the project.
• Collaborate with Project Management and MEP leadership.
• Identify issues early and implement practical solutions.
• Maintain relationships with trade partners and stakeholders.
• Support planning and cost awareness for the project.
• Oversee punch-list, closeout and turnover activities.
• Lead and develop field team members.
