Job summary

Andersen James Group is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead ground-up commercial projects in Dallas, TX. You will take ownership of day-to-day field operations, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, budget control, and high-quality results while coordinating with Project Managers, subcontractors, and ownership representatives from pre-construction through closeout.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial General Contractor.
• Tilt-wall project experience required.
• Experience on ground-up retail and/or industrial projects preferred.
• Track record managing projects with budgets of $10M or greater.
• Strong working knowledge of scheduling software (Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar).
• Solid understanding of construction means, methods, and site logistics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site construction activities for ground-up retail and/or industrial projects $10M+.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule and coordinate trade sequencing and manpower.
• Enforce safety programs and ensure OSHA/compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate and lead subcontractor activities including scheduling, QC, and performance.
• Conduct regular site meetings, progress reporting, and documentation (daily logs, RFIs, submittals).
• Collaborate with the Project Manager on budget tracking, change orders, and procurement needs.
• Ensure quality control and punch list management through turnover.
• Maintain strong client, architect, and owner relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Our client, a large regional General Contractor with a strong reputation across all sectors of commercial construction, is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead ground-up construction projects in the Dallas, TX market. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, growing organization with a strong pipeline of large-scale retail and industrial work and a career path toward Senior Superintendent and General Superintendent roles.

About the Role

As Superintendent, you will take ownership of day-to-day field operations on ground-up commercial projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll partner closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and ownership representatives from pre-construction through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities for ground-up retail and/or industrial projects ranging from $10M and above
• Develop and maintain the project schedule, coordinating trade sequencing and manpower to meet milestones
• Enforce jobsite safety programs and maintain full compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Coordinate and lead subcontractor activities, including scheduling, quality control, and performance management
• Conduct regular site meetings, progress reporting, and documentation (daily logs, RFIs, submittals)
• Collaborate with the Project Manager on budget tracking, change orders, and procurement needs
• Ensure quality control and punch list management through project turnover
• Maintain strong client, architect, and owner relationships throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors on a fast-paced, dynamic jobsite
