Job summary

Placed seeks a Commercial Construction Superintendent in Tampa to lead field operations on ground-up and complex commercial projects. You will drive schedules, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, and ensure quality and safety on site from mobilization through turnover.

The role emphasizes building strong client and trade partner relationships while delivering projects on time and to exacting specs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial construction with superintendent experience.
• Experience managing ground-up or complex commercial projects.
• Experience overseeing projects from sitework and foundations through interiors and final turnover.
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain aggressive project schedules.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, sequencing, and building systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of construction management and scheduling software.
• OSHA certification and applicable safety training preferred.

• Lead day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects from mobilization through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, short-term look-ahead schedules, and site logistics plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, inspections, and material deliveries.
• Partner closely with Project Managers, Project Executives, owners, architects, and engineers throughout construction.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Maintain a strong jobsite safety culture and ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards.
• Proactively identify potential schedule, constructability, and coordination issues and drive solutions in the field.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate project expectations, milestones, and sequencing.
• Oversee punch list, inspections, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
• Build strong relationships with clients and trade partners while representing the company professionally on site.

We are partnering with a large, established General Contractor to identify an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent for its growing Tampa operation. With a strong presence throughout the East Coast and Southwest, this contractor delivers complex ground-up and renovation projects across multiple commercial sectors.
