Job summary

RIMEPRO INC is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead ground-up multifamily and mixed-use projects in the Santa Clara area. You will oversee sitework, foundations, podium, framing, MEP, and interiors, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence across multiple trades.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in field leadership on large multifamily builds, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors, inspectors, and stakeholders to deliver projects on

• 7+ years of construction field experience with progressive Superintendent responsibilities.
• Strong ground-up multifamily construction experience required.
• Experience managing projects from sitework through final completion.
• Understanding of podium, Type III/Type V, wood-frame, and concrete construction.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and tight schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and site safety best practices.

About the Opportunity

We are actively recruiting experienced Construction Superintendents for established general contractors specializing in ground-up multifamily, podium construction, mixed-use developments, affordable housing, and market-rate apartments.

We are seeking hands-on field leaders who can successfully manage projects from initial sitework and foundations through vertical construction, interiors, inspections, and final turnover.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in ground-up multifamily construction, including Type III/Type V, wood-frame, concrete, podium, and mixed-use developments. This position requires someone who can independently manage subcontractors, maintain construction schedules, enforce jobsite safety, and deliver projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations on ground-up multifamily and mixed-use construction projects from mobilization through completion.
• Manage all phases of construction, including sitework, foundations, concrete, podium, framing, MEP, interiors, and final turnover.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, look-ahead schedules, and trade sequencing.
• Direct subcontractors, foremen, Assistant Superintendents, and field personnel while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety.
• Coordinate manpower, material deliveries, equipment, inspections, and site logistics.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and ensure critical project milestones are met.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Identify constructability issues, scheduling conflicts, and potential project delays.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, architects, engineers, and ownership to resolve field issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety meetings, and quality-control reviews.
• Coordinate city inspections, third-party inspections, and required testing.
• Maintain daily reports, manpower tracking, field documentation, and construction progress updates.
• Oversee punch lists, unit turnover, final inspections, and project closeout.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and support the development of field teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction field experience with progressive Superintendent responsibilities.
• Strong ground-up multifamily construction experience required.
• Experience managing projects from initial sitework through final completion.
• Strong understanding of podium, Type III/Type V, wood-frame, and concrete construction.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and maintaining demanding construction schedules.
• Thorough understanding of construction sequencing, field operations, site logistics, and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety requirements.
• Proven ability to lead field teams and hold subcontractors accountable.
• Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale multifamily projects of 100+ units.
• Experience with podium construction and high-density multifamily developments.
• Background in affordable housing, market-rate apartments, or mixed-use residential projects.
• Experience working on complex urban construction sites.
• Experience managing Assistant Superintendents and large field teams.
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction software.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
