Job summary

RIMEPRO INC seeks an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support daily field operations on ground-up multifamily and mixed-use projects in California. You will work closely with the Superintendent, Project Manager, subcontractors, and field teams to keep safety, schedule, and quality on track.

Candidates should have 3+ years in construction, with knowledge of wood framing, concrete, podiums, and building systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction field experience in supervision roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations from site mobilization through project closeout.
• Coordinate subcontractors, manpower, equipment, materials, and deliveries.
• Support project scheduling and short-term look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Assist with site logistics, material staging, and jobsite organization.
• Coordinate structural, architectural, MEP, and interior construction activities.
• Conduct daily jobsite walks and identify safety, quality, and scheduling concerns.
• Assist with subcontractor meetings and communicate daily work priorities.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, and field changes.
• Coordinate inspections with city officials, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Maintain daily reports, progress updates, and field documentation.
• Assist with resolving construction conflicts and constructability issues.
• Support punch list completion, unit inspections, and project turnover.
• Promote OSHA compliance and maintain a safe, organized construction site.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support daily field operations on ground-up multifamily and mixed-use construction projects.

This position will work closely with the Superintendent, Project Manager, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards.

The ideal candidate has experience with ground-up multifamily construction, including affordable housing, market-rate apartments, podium construction, wood-frame structures, concrete buildings, or mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations from site mobilization through project closeout.

• Coordinate subcontractors, manpower, equipment, materials, and deliveries.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction field experience, preferably in an Assistant Superintendent or field leadership role.

• Experience with ground-up multifamily or mixed-use construction.

• Knowledge of wood framing, concrete, podium construction, and general building systems.

• Understanding of construction sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and jobsite safety.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

• Familiarity with structural, architectural, and MEP construction activities.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively with Superintendents, Project Managers, subcontractors, and field personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with affordable housing, market-rate apartments, or large multifamily developments.

• Familiarity with Type I, III, and V construction.

• Experience with podium structures, wood framing, structural concrete, and building envelope systems.

• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and construction trades.

• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software.

• OSHA 30 certification.

• Experience assisting with inspections, punch lists, and unit turnover.
