Role Description: The Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA with reach to Orange County for new project opportunities. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role coordinates field crews, subcontractors, and vendors, and maintains daily job site logs, schedules, and progress reports. The Superintendent enforces safety protocols, conducts regular site inspections, and addresses issues related to quality control, site cleanliness, and compliance with plans and specifications. The role includes collaborating closely with project managers, owners, inspectors, and design teams to resolve field conflicts and keep stakeholders informed. The Superintendent will also review drawings and specifications, assist with scheduling and sequencing of work, support material procurement planning, and mentor field personnel to maintain a productive, respectful work environment.
Project Types: This role will primarily involve scopes of work within capital improvements for existing landlords, make-ready projects for new / future tenant improvement projects, and interior tenant improvements primarily focused on retail and office related fit-outs. Ground-up experience is a plus, however the Superintendent will primarily handle tenant improvement projects, multiple at a time.
