Job summary

Raise Consulting seeks an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on Southern California commercial projects, championing safety, quality, and accountability. You will own project execution from startup to occupancy, guiding teams and trade partners to meet milestones.

You will mentor assistants, develop detailed schedules, coordinate with owners and inspectors, and ensure work aligns with plans and codes while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
  • Experience delivering healthcare, life science, or complex tenant improvement projects preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all field operations from startup through final completion.
  • Own project execution, safety, schedule, and budget adherence.
  • Mentor assistant superintendents, project engineers, and field staff.
  • Develop and update detailed project schedules and milestones.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, owners, and inspectors to maintain momentum.
  • Lead look-ahead planning, pull-planning, and daily coordination meetings.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on some of Southern California's most challenging and rewarding commercial construction projects.

  • Lead all field operations from project startup through final completion, setting the standard for safety, quality, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Take full ownership of project execution, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative jobsite culture that motivates trade partners and project teams to perform at their best.
  • Mentor assistant superintendents, project engineers, and field staff to support their professional development.
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules that accurately reflect project progress and critical milestones.
  • Coordinate daily, weekly, and long-range work plans with subcontractors, project management teams, and owners.
  • Identify potential schedule impacts early and implement proactive recovery strategies to maintain project objectives.
  • Lead pull-planning sessions, coordination meetings, and look-ahead planning to maximize productivity and minimize disruptions.
  • Direct all day-to-day construction activities, ensuring work is executed efficiently and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and consultants to maintain project momentum.
  • Maintain detailed daily reports, progress documentation, and project photo logs.
  • Lead implementation of the project-specific safety program and ensure compliance with all company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and corrective action planning.
  • Ensure construction activities meet or exceed project specifications, applicable building codes, and client expectations.
  • Perform ongoing quality inspections throughout construction to identify and resolve issues before they impact project delivery.
  • Coordinate required inspections with jurisdictional authorities and support successful project occupancy milestones.
  • Deliver projects that reflect craftsmanship, attention to detail, and operational excellence.
  • Build strong working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, trade partners, and internal project teams.
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with all stakeholders regarding project progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Coordinate site logistics while maintaining positive relationships with neighboring businesses, occupants, and the surrounding community.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, and best practices.
  • Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
  • Excellent planning and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough understanding of quality control processes and a commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, OSHA requirements, and jobsite hazard recognition.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire high-performing teams while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
Education & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projects.
  • Previous experience delivering complex commercial projects for a general contractor is required.
  • Experience with healthcare (HCAI/OSHPD), life science, higher education, corporate office, or technically complex tenant improvement projects is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Procore, and project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project.
