The role oversees all on-site construction activities, coordinates subcontractors, and maintains schedules, safety, and quality from groundbreaking through closeout.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of superintendent experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with construction management software.

Qualifications

5+ years of Superintendent experience with a commercial general contractor.
Experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Experience managing multiple trades and complex project logistics.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with construction management software and digital reporting tools.
OSHA 30 Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct and manage all day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain project productivity and schedule adherence.
Develop and manage short-term look-ahead schedules in coordination with project management teams.
Review project plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to ensure accurate field execution.
Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain strong communication among all project stakeholders.
Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and constructability challenges.
Ensure all work complies with project specifications, local building codes, and company quality standards.
Maintain project documentation, daily reports, safety logs, and inspection records.
Coordinate project inspections, testing, punch lists, and turnover activities.
Foster a positive and professional jobsite culture focused on teamwork and accountability.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to lead field operations and ensure the successful execution of our projects from groundbreaking through closeout.

Construction Superintendent - Commercial Construction $120,000-$140,000

Position Summary

The Commercial Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring quality workmanship. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience managing ground-up and renovation commercial construction projects and a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
