Job summary

Pavarini Northeast, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Superintendent in New Haven, Groton CT area to join our team.

7+ years of field experience in commercial projects with supervisory responsibility is preferred; strong communication and organizational skills are essential for coordinating subcontractors and ensuring safety and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of field experience in commercial projects.
• Experience with supervision as a General Foreman, Field Engineer, or Assistant Superintendent.
• Well developed communication, interpersonal, organizational and team work skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule, maintains reports describing project status.
• Oversees field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces.
• Reviews status and progress with the Project Manager and client representatives.
• Ensures safety standards are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others.
• Directs subcontractor activities on ground-up residential projects.
• Analyzes manpower, material and equipment requirements and interface with others as designated.
• Implements and enforces field policies and procedures.
• Prepares reports and forecasts and keeps supervisors informed on progress.
• Ensures safety in operational areas and that tools/equipment are used safely.

Pavarini Northeast, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Superintendent in New Haven, Groton CT area to join our team.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

• Prepares the project schedule, maintains reports accurately describing project status
• Responsible for the timely and cost effective field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects
• Reviews status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis. Large projects include multiple Superintendents.
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
• Directs sub contractor activities within ground up Residential projects
• Analyzes manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interfaces the requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
• Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction Management
• Prepares reports and forecasts, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area, tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of field experience in commercial projects. With Higher Education or Life Science experience a big plus.
• Experience should include some supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Well developed, communications, interpersonal, organizational and team work skills are required.

Salary range

• $110,000-$160,000
• Eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
