Job summary

Framework Construction Recruiting is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on a commercial construction project in the Houston, TX area. The role is field-based with travel to future assignments across Texas and the Southeast; strong leadership and safety oversight are essential.

You will coordinate trade contractors, manage permits, and uphold schedule and quality, using Procore and MS Office. A valid driver's license and OSHA 30-Hour certification are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor
• Experience managing projects valued at $3 million or more
• Construction document literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction
• Strong communication and organizational skills, comfortable managing multiple subcontractors and trades
• OSHA 30-Hour Certified
• Knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Office preferred
• Must be willing to travel, as future assignments may be located elsewhere in Texas or the Southeast
• A valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day coordination of trade contractors, ensuring work meets the approved schedule and quality standards
• Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents to plan ahead and anticipate potential issues
• Verify subcontractors obtain all necessary permits
• Act as the primary safety representative in the field and enforce quality control policies
• Lead regular contractor meetings and maintain daily reports and documentation in Procore
• Communicate schedule status, updates, and changes to the project team and trade contractors
• Plan, coordinate, and manage jobsite logistics
• Resolve jurisdictional disputes and coordinate with local building officials as needed
• Manage punch list and closeout activities for a complete and professional turnover

We are looking for an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on a commercial construction project in the Houston, TX area for a growing general contractor that builds across the Southeast and Texas. This role is based in the field, away from the company's home office, but the team makes a point of flying employees in for company events and is known for genuinely taking care of its people. Travel is required: the next assignment after this one could be in the same location or elsewhere in the region, so candidates must be willing to go where the work is.
