Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation in Houston is seeking an experienced Superintendent for its established commercial construction operations. You will provide day-to-day field leadership on mobilization through closeout and coordinate multiple trades while maintaining safety and quality.

The company has a strong 30-year Houston history and about $200M in local annual volume, with opportunities to travel to Florida and Oklahoma City if desired.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Experience in healthcare, aviation, manufacturing, industrial, or tilt-wall construction valued.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, schedules, and construction documents.
• Houston-area experience and knowledge of the local subcontractor market is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day field leadership for commercial construction projects from mobilization through closeout.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and onsite construction activities.
• Manage project schedules and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
• Proactively identify and resolve field conflicts to maintain project progress.
• Lead site safety, quality control, logistics, and sequencing.
• Maintain strong communication with project stakeholders throughout construction.
• Support punch list, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout.

A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join its Houston team.

With 30 years of history in the Houston market and approximately $200M in local annual volume, this is an opportunity to join a highly respected operation with a strong pipeline of work and room for continued career growth.

The company maintains enough work in Houston that Superintendents are not required to travel. For individuals who enjoy traveling, however, opportunities are available with the company's growing operations in Florida and Oklahoma City, including multiple upcoming Florida projects and a major project in OKC.

Project Experience

The team is open to Superintendents from a variety of strong commercial construction backgrounds, with particular interest in experience involving:

• Healthcare construction, especially projects completed on occupied hospital or healthcare campuses and within active clinical environments
• Aviation and airport construction
• Large-scale manufacturing and industrial facilities
• Tilt-wall construction

Ground-up experience within technically complex or operationally sensitive environments will be particularly valuable.

• Houston-area experience and established knowledge of the local subcontractor market is a plus
