Job summary

OSF HealthCare, in partnership with Pointcore, seeks a Superintendent to lead construction operations on our healthcare facilities in Illinois. You will ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost management while coordinating with trade partners and clients and upholding our culture of servant leadership and accountability.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership and communication skills, 5 years of healthcare or commercial construction experience, and OSHA safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of experience in commercial construction or equivalent industry experience.
• First Aid/CPR certification within 6 months of hire.
• Active state driver's license.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety training within 6 months of hire.

Expected pay for this position is $43.15 - $50.77/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

Position Summary

The Superintendent has ownership of all construction operations in the field as it relates to the specific project’s safety, quality, schedule, cost, project reporting, trade partner, and client relationships. It is the project superintendent’s responsibility to manage all construction operations while upholding the Pointcore culture.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 5 years of experience in commercial construction or equivalent industry experience.
• First Aid/CPR certification within 6 months of hire.
• Active state driver's license.
• Must earn Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour Construction Safety training within 6 months of hire.

• Demonstrated ability to lead field operations.
• Working knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA).
• Ability to review and update project schedules in Microsoft Project.
• Basic technology skills.

• Excels in blueprint reading.

• General understanding of Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) requirements.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore.

• Ability to lead BIM and Lean practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in construction, engineering or architecture related fields.
• 10 years of experience in healthcare construction, commercial construction, or equivalent industry experience.
• Licensure/Certification: Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) and Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Certification(s).
