Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to drive results while focusing on safety, quality, and employee development.
• Experience managing multiple departments, processes, or production areas.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to departmental supervisors to drive performance, accountability, and employee development.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining efficiency, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Monitor staffing, workflow, and production performance to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
• Promote and enforce company safety policies and ensure employees are trained for their assigned work.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions to reduce defects, rework, and waste.
• Manage departmental performance to achieve budget, labor, and operational targets.
• Maintain accurate production records, labor reporting, and departmental documentation.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and employee engagement.
• Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, teamwork, and leadership.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organization, and workplace efficiency.
• Support workforce planning, cross-training, succession planning, and staffing needs.

Position Summary

The Superintendent is responsible for leading manufacturing operations within the Door Plant, Millroom, and Framing departments to meet production schedules while ensuring quality products are produced in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. • Proven ability to drive results while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and employee development.
• Experience managing multiple departments, processes, or production areas preferred.
• Ability to analyze production data and make sound business decisions.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence principles preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
