Job summary

GH Engage is hiring a Lead Superintendent to own the core and shell work on a flagship data center in North Alabama. You will coordinate closely with the General Superintendent, manage day-to-day field operations from foundations through enclosure, and lead a team of assistants on a large-scale footprint.

The role requires a proven field leader with strong scheduling, safety, and QA/QC skills, and a willingness to be on-site full-time in North Alabama for the project duration.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Superintendent on ground-up commercial or industrial projects.
• Strong core and shell background: foundations, tilt-up or cast-in-place concrete, steel, and envelope.
• Experience coordinating multiple subs and leading a team of assistant superintendents.
• Data center or mission-critical construction experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to be on-site full-time in North Alabama for the duration.

• Serve as field liaison with PM, owner's reps, and inspectors.

Lead Superintendent - Data Center Core & Shell | North Alabama

A national general contractor is building the core and shell of a major new data center in North Alabama, and we're hiring a Lead Superintendent to take ownership of the project in the field, working closely alongside the General Superintendent.

This is a ground-up, large-footprint build. If you've run the structure and envelope on big commercial or industrial projects and want a flagship mission-critical project on your resume, this is it.

What you'll do

• Partner closely with the General Superintendent to plan, sequence, and execute the core and shell package, acting as their right hand in the field
• Own day-to-day field operations from foundations through structure and building enclosure
• Lead and mentor a team of assistant superintendents, assigning areas and holding the schedule
• Drive the self-perform and subcontractor workforce on concrete (tilt-up and/or cast-in-place), structural steel, and envelope scopes across a large footprint
• Build and manage the look-ahead schedule, sequencing trades to keep the critical path moving
• Run QA/QC on structural and enclosure work, and set the standard for a clean, safe, organized site
• Serve as a key field point of contact with the project management team, owner's reps, and inspectors

What we're looking for

• Proven track record as a Superintendent or Lead/General Superintendent on ground-up commercial or industrial projects
• Strong core and shell background: foundations, concrete (tilt-up and cast-in-place), structural steel, and building envelope on large-scale footprints
• Experience leading and coordinating multiple subcontractors and a team of assistant supers
• Data center or mission-critical construction experience is a strong plus, but not required
• Solid command of scheduling, safety standards, and field QA/QC
• Able to be on-site full time in North Alabama for the duration of the project
