Under the direction of Center leadership the Business Office Coordinator (BOC) manages all aspects of the facility's business office with the assistance and guidance of the Center Administrator or Business Office Manager. The responsibilities may include recruitment, training, evaluation and retention of business office staff ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, policies, and regulations. The BOC is proficient in all areas of the revenue cycle including surgery scheduling, insurance verification, cash management, coding, billing, accounts receivable follow-up and patient registration. Financial end-of-month closure and reporting will be completed in a timely manner and according to Center criteria. The BOC position may serve as a training ground for advancement to the BOM position, or be an additional Business Office leadership position for larger facilities.
