The Department of Transportation in Custer, SD is seeking a Summer Intern in Transportation Engineering for two positions.

The role supports design, construction or maintenance of state highway projects; duties include survey crew participation, materials testing, inspections, data collection, and other field activities.

Enrolled students (part-time or full-time) who have completed at least one year of study are encouraged to apply; preference to juniors/seniors and SD residents.

Competenze

• Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply.
• By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.
• All students are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions.

• Interns will be involved in a variety of engineering related activities performed in support of design, construction or maintenance of state highway construction projects.
