PIMCO is seeking a Summer Internship – Trade Support Analyst based in Newport Beach, CA. The program runs ~10 weeks from early June to mid‑August, with hands-on experience using AI-powered tools and mentorship from senior leaders. You’ll gain exposure to portfolio management and risk systems while completing real analyses.

Eligibility includes pursuing an undergraduate degree, ability to start full-time from Jan 2028, and a minimum 3.2 GPA. Hourly rate offered, relocation support may be provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree and available for full-time internship starting January 2028.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ethical, collaborative, organized, and self‑starter mindset.
• Experience with finance coursework and Excel-based data analysis encouraged.
• Curiosity with AI tools and emerging technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure investment objectives are implemented across portfolios in scope.
• Monitor portfolio positions vs client guidelines with Compliance.
• Coordinate with Portfolio Management on re-balancing.
• Use proprietary risk systems to monitor exposures.
• Assist in account transitions and cash flow management.
• Conduct performance and attribution analyses.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from Portfolio Management.
