Responsibilities
- Maintains assigned area in clean and safe condition by performing duties such as cleaning bathrooms, showers, kitchens and apartments; vacuuming; dusting/polishing; washing windows, walls and woodwork; removing trash and recyclables; stripping and re-finishing floors; extraction cleaning of carpets; cleaning of common areas; and any other assigned tasks as necessary.
- Responsible for cleaning in assigned areas to meet established guidelines and following safety protocols in carrying out duties; report maintenance and safety items to facilities office.
- Move and deliver items; set up for special events coverage and office moves.
- Maintain cleanliness of the immediate outdoor perimeter of assigned building(s).
- Work well with colleagues in a team-oriented system and maintain flexibility to handle diverse job assignments.
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- Must be capable of working collegially in a setting with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and visitors on a daily basis.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and to lift and carry up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to handle heavy equipment, such as industrial vacuum cleaners, and containers such as trash bags/cans.
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license, in accordance with the University’s motor vehicle policy, is preferred in order to perform other job related duties/assignments.

Monday – Friday, 6:00AM – 2:30PM
