Job summary

YMCA Camp Greenville is seeking a cause-driven Teen Leadership Coordinator to join our summer leadership team. The role guides Leadership Development Program Participants (LDPs) and Division 4 campers, ensuring high standards of conduct and leadership development.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years or older by June 2027.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain prior to June 2027.
• Meet minimum requirements to drive a 15-passenger minibus.
• Clean MVR check (Motor Vehicle Record).
• Experience working with high school age teens.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for training, supervising, and overseeing teen leadership campers or LDPs.
• Ability to work with participants of all backgrounds.
• Maintaining rosters, checklists, schedules, and reporting information in a timely manner.
• Works to troubleshoot any issues between LDPs and staff/campers.
• Conducting evaluations on all LDPs in cabins at the end of each session.
• Evaluating program to increase benefit to leadership campers.
• Lead daily meetings for teen leadership campers with helpful content for LDPs.
• Assist with leading daily LDP meetings.
• Assist with staff evaluations throughout summer.
• Assist with any high adventure program facilitation (High ropes, zip line, etc.).
• Facilitate and manage schedule for week-long training sessions for first year teen leaders.
• Facilitate and manage a camp session of base camp for teen campers (rising 10th-12th grade).
• Serve as a role model, upholding our camp values, and working with integrity, creativity, and safety in mind at all times.
• Responsible for the health and well-being of the campers mentally, emotionally, and physically, during their time at camp.
• Must approach responsibilities in a fun, creative, enthusiastic, and professional manner.
