Job summary

Excellus BlueCross BlueShield in Syracuse, NY offers a 10-week paid Summer College Internship Program for undergraduate and graduate students. Interns work on meaningful projects, are mentored by managers, and participate in development workshops across a wide range of tracks including IT, business, analytics, finance, marketing, and project management.

Internships run June through August, up to 40 hours per week, with housing not provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing computing sciences or IT-related degree; manager may identify specific majors.
• Prior experience in a tech support role (e.g., college Help Desk) is a plus.
• High School diploma with ongoing full-time college enrollment; in good academic standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to interact with staff at all levels.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the laptop refresh program in the Desktop Lab (Imaging, software install).
• Coordinate with Syracuse employees to schedule laptop pickup/drop-off.
• Work with the Desktop Lab team but operate largely independently after training.
• Support mentor and contribute to key strategic projects.
• Create and deliver a presentation at internship end.
